FLOW

This summer workshop blends breathwork and somatic movement to destress, with active, flowing yoga sequences to build heat, strength, and improve mobility.

By challenging your movement and your stillness, we melt away deep-seated tension and reboot the nervous system. There will be balances, lovely flows and even a chance to try an entry level arm balance (optional of course!).

Starting slow, and building up, we will end with some yin poses and a deep relaxation. Leave feeling stronger, longer and completely recharged.

Just bring yourself and a mat if you have one.

BREATHE

A deeply restorative workshop where you’ll explore breathwork, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation, creating a mindful space just for you to pause, switch off your phone, and step away from the noise of everyday life.

This workshop is your invitation to slow down, reconnect through gentle movement and breath, and experience real stillness.

No yoga experience required, for either workshop.

Just bring yourself and a mat if you have one.

sauna hat and birch whisk making workshop

Scottish Seaside Saunas has been working with local Felt Maker Trish O’Meara from Wormit Woolies to make a very limited edition range sauna hats made from wool from Fife sheep available on our websites. These hats have proven popular and are now all SOLD OUT.

We will not be making any more hats available to buy. However, we will be giving you to opportunity to learn how to learn the ancient art of wet felting and create your very own one of kind felted sauna hat.

Wet felting is the first known form of textile making, and has been recognized as a heritage craft in the UK since the 1100’s.  There will be many different colours of wool etc. for you to choose from, to get creative and personal with your hat making.

Following the workshop certified sauna masters Judith and Elise, will lead you in a short class in how to make your own birch sauna-whisk.

You will, then, be able to try out your newly created hat and whisk, in our St. Andrews Seaside Sauna.

This two-day course introduces the foundational elements of sauna space holding and the art of leaf whisking.

Each day includes practical, peer-led group discussions and sauna sessions in Scottish Seaside Saunas, St. Andrews Seaside Sauna, on East Sands Beach, St. Andrews.

The course is led by Mon Kļaviņs, a Latvian sauna practitioner trained at Pirts Skola in Latvia. Mon works on integrating their ancestral healing practices with a trauma-informed approach, and has a keen interest in the intertwining of mythology and land.

This training is open to both sauna enthusiasts and professionals looking to learn the practical skills and cultural responsibilities of group sauna facilitation.

The aim of the course is to build a solid foundation of good sauna practice, how to care for the sauna, your guests and yourself and how to respect sauna practice.
